Ethical Dilemmas of Social Worker in a Retirement Home
TONAROVÁ, Pavlína
The diploma thesis focuses on the ethical dilemmas of social workers in homes for the elderly. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis presents the professional bases for the research conducted in nursing homes. Theoretical chapters that result from the issue of old age, types of provided care, and examples of services offered to seniors are supplemented by the practical part. This is based on the experience of individual social workers, with whom semi-structured interviews were conducted. The essential factors in monitoring are recurring situations of social workers which they perceive as difficult in relationship with a client as well as the client´s relations to the environment and family. All this fundamentally affects an individual's satisfaction with the place where they must spend their late life.

The main part of the work was to create activation exercises aimed on strengthening the self-confidence and self-awareness with the help of artistic expression. The Importance of Care Services for Seniors Living at Home
ŠLEJHAROVÁ, Marta
This bachelor thesis focuses on the importance of care services for the seniors living in the home environment. The main objective was to find out how the needs of seniors are satisfied in connection with the provision of care service and to highlight the difference in the perception of the needs of seniors. The thesis consists of a theoretical part and a research part. The theoretical part is divided into four chapters. The first chapter deals with old age and more specifically with the demographics of aging, the definition of old age, the age breakdown of old age and changes in old age.  The second chapter of the theoretical part deals with the needs of human beings and their classification. There are described biological, psychological, social and spiritual needs there. The third chapter deals with the relationship of the seniors and their families. It is divided into three sub-chapters: the seniors family and its functions, the assistance and the care for the seniors in the home environment and advantages and disadvantages associated with home care for the seniors. The fourth chapter deals with services for the seniors and care servises. The research part deals with the importance of care service for the seniors who live in a home environment. The main research question was: How are satisfied the needs of seniors in the connection with the provision of care service? The main research question was divided into four sub-questions: How are fulfilled the biological needs of seniors living in home environment in the connection with the provision of care service? How are fulfilled psychological needs of seniors living in a home environment in the relation with the provision of care service? How are fulfilled social needs of seniors living in a home environment in the relation with the provision of care service? How are fullfilled spiritual needs of seniors living in a home environment in the relation with the provision of care service? The last research question: "How are fullfilled spiritual needs of seniors living in a home environment in the relation with the provision of care service?", was evaluated in such a way that the the spiritual needs of informers with reduced mobility are not sufficiently fulfilled. Despite the will and the care of the nurses, this is not possible, either because of the workload of nurses or their education. Parsons do not manage to cover all the needs of seniors. There are cases where seniors emphasize the complete absence of spiritual service. There are often times when seniors would welcome more spiritual services. In conclusion, we can say that for the seniors the care service has the greatest importance in fulfilling their biological needs and also satisfies their psychological and social needs. The spiritual needs of seniors with reduced mobility are, according to the research, not fulfilled.
Curiosities in access radiological assistants to examination senior
KÁPLOVÁ, Kateřina
In the Czech Republic there is increasing the number of seniors so it can be assumed that in the future this will also increase the amount of radio diagnostic examination of seniors. By the time, when a person becomes the senior, he or she suffers from various ailments and quite often seeks professional help. An old person is very sensitive to dealing with him or her and because of that the aim of my thesis was to define how should the radiologist asistant behave to senior citizens. Today's population of people is facilitated and modern. But we must realize that those who are slower are living with us and for them it is harder to coordinate their movements and slow thinking. The theoretical work is concerned with the concepts of age and aging. An old man goes through various changes in old age. Seniors psychological, physical and emotional aspects are changing. It is important for the senior to overcome these changes and adapt for them. These changes are the main concern of gerontology. It is the science of aging, overall social relations in society to seniors and of course with a man of an advanced age as an individual with his individual needs and problems. Also this field deals mainly with the peculiarities of diseases in old age. Another issue is the most common diseases that affect seniors. A furthermore it deals with the communication and behaviour towards the elderly. In the practical part, I wanted to find out whether the communication between a senior and a clinician is at a good level, then whether they are informed by their doctor on what tests are going to and if not so, at least if the technician tells them what part of a body is he or she going to shoot. The result implies that 60% of seniors think they have a good experience with access to a radiology assistant, but not to good with the transmission of information. About 58% of seniors not get information from the sending physician and the technician not. There needs to be a change of both the doctor and the assistant
